got gas?

October 2009  |  Greensboro, North Carolina
I have mentioned this trip in prior posts, we drove down to Virginia to visit Megan over my MEA break and birthday.  Unfortunately, we ran out of gas pulling into the motel parking lot... Megan and I went across the street to the little gas station, hoping we would just be entrusted with a gas can for a few moments, like would happen here; however, the little man made us purchase one... then it was super hard to get it open to put gas in.  we walked it back, and Joe happily put it in the tank... an unforgettable memory.  there were more little funny things that happened, but they are not coming to me right now... and i think it was in Greensboro, but I know for sure it was North Carolina...

three months ago today - Monday 1/9/12 - only four more morning phone calls from my lovebird - ever.  no specific memories from today, Mondays are often a blah day, Joe needed lots of sleep after transitioning back into third shift after living a first shift weekend.  i miss you joe...

It is very hard to try to go through life alone.  We need each other.  We need people to help us through life, people to help us when we fall down, someone to help us in an attack...  The following scripture has been used to describe marriages (in fact, Joe and I applied this to our relationship); however, it is not only applicable to a husband/wife relationship, it is also applicable to friendships.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively.  If one of them falls down, the other can help him up.  But if someone is alone . . . there is no one to help him . . . Two men can resist an attack that would defeat one man alone."
The scripture then goes on to say that by putting God into the relationship, the three are unstoppable.
