White House

Hebrews 4:14-16 (The Good News Bible)
Let us, then, hold firmly to the faith we profess.  For we have a great High Priest who has gone into the very presence of God - Jesus, the Son of God.  Our High Priest is not one who cannot feel sympathy for our weaknesses.  On the contrary, we have a High Priest who was tempted in every way that we are, but did not sin.  Let us be brave, then, and approach God's throne, where there is grace.  There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it.

I believe the book of Hebrews was written to a group of Christians who were in danger of abandoning their faith.  I know what it is like to be discouraged and be on the verge of losing faith.  However, I know that Jesus feels sympathy and he weeps with us.  I am being brave, keeping my faith, so I can have the grace and mercy that Jesus Christ offers.  And, I tell you, it is wonderful.

Sweet Pea and I had our 30 week appointment today, Gramma Edith went along too.  My numbers from my last blood tests were wonderful - the glucose screening and my hemoglobins.  I am measuring perfectly, and her heartbeat is wonderful (so is my blood pressure).  The nurse was very impressed at how well everything looked, what a miracle!  Here is a picture of us from the shower on Saturday.

Here is today's picture of daddy:
October 2010  |   The Upside-down White House  |  WI Dells
Another photo from our yearly October mini-vacation from 2010 to the Dells.  This was one of our stops; however, this was about as far as we went.  We enjoyed looking around the outside, taking pictures with the president, and we went in the front door - only to decide that we didn't think it was worthy of the entry fee.  So, if you have been inside and had a tour, let me know what you thought!

  1. I took the kids there one summer. Not really all that special. Everything is upside-down. Not really worth it, I won't do it again :) I love the picture though!
