rusty

June 18, 2011  |  Black River Falls, WI: The Rustic Mill
This was our first stop after our wedding dinner.  My stance is awful goofy, please don't judge me.  We had never been here before but I asked the girl that did my hair where good places to go would be - so, this was our first stop.  We had some drinks, lots of laughs, some close and fast dances, and almost got to sing karaoke.  We asked on a whim, and they guy said "oh yeah, I will fire it up for you."  So he got it all set up, we had our songs picked out, and then he couldn't get it to work.  Can you imagine - Joe and I getting to sing together on our wedding night??  Bummer!   This place actually burned down about a month after this, and I believe they have not been able to rebuild.

Hebrews 2: 14 & 15 gives a pretty good explanation of why God brought Jesus to the world... "Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying." I just think this is amazing.  He sent Jesus as a human being, he even had to learn how to walk and talk just like our babies do.  He was made of flesh and blood just like us, and he also was 'at our level,' meaning not a person of high stature.  He went through trials and tribulations like we do so that he could help us through them.  Are you a slave to the fear of dying?

Sweet Pea is now 30 weeks:  about 15.7 inches long and almost 3 pounds (like the head of a cabbage).  Did you know that when babies are born their eyesight is about 20/400, continuing to develop outside of the womb?  So, they do not recognize you when you wave from across the room. ;-)
